Under the Dream is the first film/series to chart the rise of dream tech: neurotechnology that directly influences the dreaming mind. Project support and recognition to date includes the Sandbox Films + Gamechanger Films’ Creative Science Nonfiction Accelerator Award ($50,000), Knight New Work Grant ($100,000), selection for the 2024 CPH: DOX Forum, the 2025 True/False Confluence Fellowship, and finalist status for the Sloan Science in Cinema Fellowship. With extensive research and access to subject matter experts and dream tech pioneers, the principal creative team in place, and the production budget and schedule prepared, we are ready for partners to join us in financing, production and distribution. The project is well-positioned for exploitation of derivatives, as the subject matter of dream technology translates to mediums like gaming, podcast, immersive installation, and VR. The project is co-produced by Desvia Films, winner of the 2025 Berlinale Silver Bear for The Blue Trail. Director Saelyx Finna is a leading expert on dream neurotech. She has published articles and presented on the neuroethics of emerging dream neurotechnologies at conferences and universities in North America and Europe.
